  12. This installer requires the Zool ORIGINAL disks (there are 2).
  13. It will not work for cracked versions.
  14.  
  15. Two versions are now supported: the original release and golden awards release thanks
  16. to a user who reported the bug.
  17.  
  18. The HD-Patched game will need about 3Mb of memory.
  19. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  20. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  22. I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  23. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  24. so Multiscan/AGA users won't have any sprite or screen problem.
  25. I tried to preserve KS1.3 compatibility too
  26. (not guaranteed with higher processors than 68000)
  27. The game was also patched for A3000/A4000 users and a tooltype/argument allows
  28. you to force the game to run in PAL or NTSC (Kick2.0 only).

  31. The (original) cheat mode can be activated by typing 'GOLDFISH' in the main menu.
  32. During the game, press:
  33.  
  34. 1 for invincibility (temporary)
  35. 2 for levelskip
  36. 3 for worldskip
  37. 4 for suicide

  39. F10 quits the game (now I'm not sure it works)
  40.  
  41. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  42. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  43. it does not easily multitask. No checks are done to see if you swapped the disks
  44. or not.
  45. If you don't insert disks when prompted, the program will lock the amiga until
  46. you decide to put a disk in.

  48. Version 1.0 crashed on some machines and did not allow to go NTSC (I had a e-mail
  49. from Mexico about a NTSC version of Zool). Now this is fixed.

  51. Version 1.1 had more startup bugs. I hope this is fixed. A quit option exists now too (F10).

  53. If you find some bugs, or the game crashes, please e-mail me (specify your
  54. configuration).
  55. I'm also looking for people who could send me original disks for me to patch them
  56. for 680x0 or write HD-Installers (NOT CRACKED VERSIONS, ONLY ORIGINALS).

  62. This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
  63. if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

  65. However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
  66. of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
  67. It's the only exception for the distribution.
